It’s propelled by Chris Walker’s percussive bass alongside James’s piano riff, the main theme of the track.
The new 2019 Remastered edition lets you hear the whole band like never before. With Jeff Golub on guitar and drummer Billy Kilson supplying back beat on drums. The new remaster was done using the Hi-Res audio mixes, originally recorded at the Hit Factory in New York City in 1996.

As the reissue of this 1996 album demonstrates, at one time “Smooth” jazz had muscle and chops. Keyboardist Bob James got together with tenor saxist Kirk Whalum (sporting a vintage ‘do on the cover BTW) along with Chris Walker/b, Billy Kilson/dr , Jeff Golub/g and guests Leonard Gibbs/perc with Hiram Bullock/g for a hip hugger of a session.
