A Tribute to Bob James

Jazz giant and SMTD’s 2014 Hall of Fame Alumni Award Winner Bob James (BM ’61 and MM ’63, composition), will take the stage with current jazz faculty Robert Hurst (bass), Michael Gould (drums), Andrew Bishop (woodwinds), and students from Department of Jazz and Contemporary Improvisation. Ron Brooks, former bassist in the Bob James Trio, will also appear.

A dessert and coffee reception for SMTD donors, alumni, students, faculty, and guests of Bob James will be held in the East Conference Room on Rackham’s fourth floor immediately following the concert. Please email Ellen Kettler if you plan to attend the reception.
